New Inn News!

The New Inn Sunday Music sessions continue with aplomb in 2017 with some stunning bands and artists visiting to perform at the award-winning pub.

On 26 February we have a returning band joining us; The Herbaceous Borders have played here once before and we couldn’t get a date in the diary quick enough for their return visit, their last gig was probably one of the top three gigs that we have had at The New Inn.

Then moving into the rest of the year we have some real treats. Visiting us from Denmark is the inspirational Martin Dale; from America we will have Kent DuChaine; Edinburgh based The Blueswater; from Texas the amazingly talented Rodney Branigan; The Leeds City Stompers plus all your local favourites.

During 2016, at The New Inn we raised in excess of £2,000 for the Severn Hospice; this year our nominated charity is Newport Cottage Care Centre. We aim to raise funds through a series of raffles at our beer and gin festivals alongside collections following the regular Sunday Music Sessions.

Please do come along and support live music in the town, it is free admission!

The New Inn is in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide

The New Inn has made it into the 2017 CAMRA Good Beer Guide. The guide showcases some of the very best cask ale houses throughout the UK.

At The New Inn we love real ale and pride ourselves on the quality of our beer. We permanently have four Joule’s Brewery beers available and a carefully selected Guest Ale at all times. Joule’s Pure Blonde, Pale Ale and Slumbering Monk are the staple house beers along with a Joule’s Seasonal. We also welcome guest beers from some amazing brewery friends of ours including Purple Moose, Wood’s, Holden’s, Ludlow, Dancing Duck, Enville, Everards, Hobsons and Oakham Ales to name just a few.

The plans to showcase and promote real ale at The New Inn don’t stop there. We have arranged to run not one but two Beer Festivals during 2017. Featuring no less than 20 cask ales at each festival, all available at the same time plus a number of traditional ciders too.

The festivals are 1- 2 April and 23 September. We are also holding a Gin Festival 27-28 May.
